چکیده

Vibrational spectroscopic imaging has become useful analytical tools for quality control of drug products. In this study, we applied microscopic attenuated total reflection (ATR)-IR and confocal Raman microscopy to elucidate structure creams the formulation design in development semi-solid The model were prepared with prednisolone (PRD) fluconazole (FLC) as active pharmaceutical ingredients oily solvents such mineral oil (MO), isopropyl myristate (IPM), benzyl alcohol (BA) diethyl sebacate (DES). As a result ATR-IR imaging, several domains indicating internal phase observed, which had absorption around 1732 1734 cm−1 derived from MO, IPM DES. addition, BA 1009 observed at complemental or similar position MO DES, respectively. These results suggested that oil-in-water type distribution would reflect compatibility solvents. contents PRD determined quantitatively each layer after intentional separation agreed well analysis. Whereas, allowed visualize components depth direction two-dimensional plane. particular, ensure coexistence FLC cream. From these results, feasibility techniques was successfully demonstrated dosage forms.

Formulation and Evaluation of Antibacterial Creams and Gels Containing Metal Ions for Topical Application

Background. Skin infections occur commonly and often present therapeutic challenges to practitioners due to the growing concerns regarding multidrug-resistant bacterial, viral, and fungal strains. The antimicrobial properties of zinc sulfate and copper sulfate are well known and have been investigated for many years. However, the synergistic activity between these two metal ions as antimicrobia...

Design expert assisted formulation of topical bioadhesive gel of sertaconazole nitrate.

PURPOSE The objective of this work was to develop a bioadhesive topical gel of sertaconazole nitrate with the help of response-surface approach. METHODS Experiments were performed according to a 3-level factorial design to evaluate the effects of two independent variables [amount of Carbapol 934 = X1) and Sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) = X2)] on the bioadhesive character of gel, rheolo...

Multivariate Chemical Image Fusion of Vibrational Spectroscopic Imaging Modalities.

Chemical image fusion refers to the combination of chemical images from different modalities for improved characterisation of a sample. Challenges associated with existing approaches include: difficulties with imaging the same sample area or having identical pixels across microscopic modalities, lack of prior knowledge of sample composition and lack of knowledge regarding correlation between mo...

Label-Free Vibrational Spectroscopic Imaging of Neuronal Membrane Potential.

Detecting membrane potentials is critical for understanding how neuronal networks process information. We report a vibrational spectroscopic signature of neuronal membrane potentials identified through hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging of patched primary neurons. High-speed SRS imaging allowed direct visualization of puff-induced depolarization of multiple neurons in mouse...

Preparation of a topical herbal formulation for hyperpigmentation

Background and objectives: Skin hyperpigmentation usually indicates an increase in production and accumulation of melanin. Hyperpigmentary disorders are characterized by the appearance of melasma, freckles and lentigo on the skin surface which can cause psychological disturbances. Herbal products could be extensively preferable due to their widespread accessibility and the vast...
